Press Release: City of Campbellsville Awarded $28,000 in USTA Tennis Court Grants

Funding will support refurbishment of the David Parson Tennis Complex

The City of Campbellsville has received two grants from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) totaling $28,000 to support improvements at the David Parson Tennis Complex.

Grant SourceAmount
USTA$19,950.00
USTA Southern$8,050.00
Total$28,000.00

The funding comes through the USTA’s Tennis Venue Services (TVS) grant program, which is designed to help communities enhance existing tennis facilities and build new ones. Grant recipients also receive project management support from the USTA’s Tennis Venue Services team, including technical assistance with court design, construction document review, and business development guidance.

The TVS program has awarded more than $34 million in grants since 2005, including more than $16 million in 2025 alone — supporting nearly 300 projects impacting more than 2,500 courts nationwide. The expanded funding reflects growing demand as tennis participation continues to rise across the country.

“We are committed to supporting the enhancement and construction of tennis facilities in communities across the country,” said Theodore Loehrke, Managing Director of Section Partnerships at USTA. “Investing in the development of tennis facilities nationwide helps support the USTA’s mission of growing tennis to inspire healthier people and communities everywhere.”

We are so pleased to receive these grants, and we extend a special thank you to the USTA for their investment in our community. We also want to recognize Council Member Heather Wise for her support and for helping guide the City through the grant process.
