Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old and a U.S. Citizen
- Hold a High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Driver’s License (fewer than 9 accumulated points for traffic violations)
- Have no felony convictions or pending criminal actions
- Have no history of illegal drug use or drug-related charges
- Pass a pre-employment written and oral psychological evaluation
- Pass a pre-employment polygraph examination
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Be available for shift work, including night shift
Required Training
Selected candidates must be able to attend and successfully complete:
- Kentucky Public Safety Dispatch Academy — Paid training consisting of 164 hours initial training, plus 8 hours annually
- CJIS Training
- In-House Training Program
