On May 18, 2026, the City of Campbellsville took a moment to say thank you — and mean it.
Mayor Dennis Benningfield joined city and county leaders to present an Appreciation Plaque to Hack Marcum and his dedicated team at the Taylor County Detention Center, recognizing the hard work and commitment they bring to their roles every day.
A Well-Deserved Recognition
The Taylor County Detention Center serves a critical function for both the City of Campbellsville and Taylor County — a responsibility that requires professionalism, consistency, and no small amount of personal dedication. This recognition was a way for local leadership to acknowledge what so often goes unseen: the daily effort of the people who keep our community safe and our systems running.

Service That Doesn’t Go Unnoticed
It can be easy to take for granted the institutions and individuals working quietly in the background of community life. The Taylor County Detention Center staff represents exactly that kind of service — showing up, doing the work, and doing it well.
The Appreciation Plaque is a small but meaningful symbol of the gratitude that city and county leadership holds for Hack Marcum and his entire team. Their professionalism reflects well on Campbellsville and Taylor County, and this recognition is long overdue.
Community Gratitude
The City of Campbellsville is proud to recognize those who serve our community with integrity and dedication. We are grateful for the partnership between the city, the county, and the Taylor County Detention Center — and for the people who make that partnership work every single day.
Thank you, Hack Marcum and team. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
