Public Works brings together multiple departments that manage infrastructure, utilities, public spaces, and community development. Each team works together to ensure reliable services for residents and businesses across the city.

Administration
Coordinates daily operations, purchasing, records, and communication across Public Works. This team also oversees project coordination, contract work, safety programs, and public bid processes.
Maintains city streets and right-of-ways through snow and ice removal, pothole repair, drainage maintenance, street sweeping, mowing, and brush pickup. The team also supports construction and infrastructure improvement projects.
Manages Campbellsville’s three community parks, providing clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for recreation, sports, and community gatherings.
Provides safe, clean drinking water for residential, commercial, and industrial use. Operators monitor and test water daily to ensure quality and reliability.
Maintains over 600 miles of water lines, storage tanks, and pump stations. This team ensures water delivery to homes and businesses and responds to service issues and emergencies.
Manages the collection and treatment of wastewater, including system maintenance, inspections, and infrastructure improvements to protect public health and the environment.
Planning & Zoning
Guides responsible growth and development through zoning, land use planning, and development review to protect community character and long-term sustainability.
Works to prevent flooding, reduce erosion, and protect water quality by managing runoff and regulating construction-related impacts on drainage systems and waterways.
Ensures properties meet city standards for safety and maintenance, helping preserve neighborhood quality and protect public health.
