Campbellsville Fire & Rescue is a progressive combination fire department serving the City of Campbellsville and Taylor County. With a dedicated team of career and volunteer personnel, the department provides reliable emergency response, fire protection, and life-saving services to residents and visitors.

Campbellsville Fire & Rescue is committed to providing safe, prompt, and professional emergency services to our community. Our mission is carried out by a diverse team of career and volunteer firefighters dedicated to protecting life, property, and the well-being of those we serve.

Emergency Services We Provide

Campbellsville Fire & Rescue delivers a broad range of emergency response services, including:

  • Fire suppression

  • Hazardous materials response

  • Technical rescue operations, including:

    • Water and dive rescue

    • Rope rescue

    • Trench rescue

    • Confined space rescue

  • Emergency medical assistance in coordination with Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS

The department also works closely with the Taylor County Fire Department through a mutual aid agreement to ensure comprehensive emergency coverage.

Our Team

The department is staffed by nine career firefighters who work a 24-hour on / 48-hour off schedule and are supported by approximately 50 volunteer firefighters. Volunteers play a vital role in department operations and community protection.

All career firefighters are trained to the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level, with several personnel holding paramedic certification, ensuring advanced medical care during emergencies.

Fire Prevention & Community Education

In partnership with the Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office, certified fire inspectors conduct annual fire inspections for local businesses to promote safety and code compliance.

Firefighters also dedicate significant time to:

  • Fire prevention education

  • Safety presentations for schools and civic groups

  • Ongoing professional training and certifications
