The Campbellsville Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency dedicated to protecting public safety and building strong relationships within the community. Our officers and staff work daily to uphold the law, respond to emergencies, and support a safe, welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

What We Do

In addition to routine patrol services, members of the Police Department receive specialized training to support a wide range of law enforcement needs, including:

  • Criminal investigations

  • Narcotics enforcement

  • Child and elder abuse investigations

  • Crime scene evidence collection and preservation

  • Audio and video analysis

  • School safety and youth education programs

The department also assigns a School Resource Officer to the Campbellsville Independent School System to help promote safety and positive engagement within local schools.

Emergency Communications & Dispatch

The Campbellsville Police Department is home to the Campbellsville/Taylor County E-911 Center. This center provides emergency dispatch services for multiple agencies, including:

  • Campbellsville Police Department

  • Taylor County Sheriff’s Office

  • City and County Fire Departments

  • City and County Rescue Services

  • City Utilities

  • Streets and Sanitation

Highly trained dispatch staff coordinate emergency response and ensure calls are routed quickly and accurately to the appropriate service.

Community Outreach & Education

Community engagement is an important part of policing in Campbellsville. The Police Department offers speakers and educational programs for schools, civic groups, and community organizations on topics such as:

  • Drug abuse prevention

  • Bicycle safety

  • Child safety seat checks

Community Policing & Partnerships

Effective community policing depends on cooperation, communication, and shared responsibility. The Campbellsville Police Department values citizen involvement and works closely with community members to address concerns and improve quality of life.

The department became an accredited law enforcement agency in 2007, meeting or exceeding national standards for professional policing practices. The department also partners with the Appalachia Drug Task Force to address illegal drug activity through coordinated enforcement and community support.
